THE LITCHFIELD HISTORICAL SOCIETY offers educational programs for students at all levels. In addition to the programs listed the Society will take programs to your site and will design programs to meet your specific curriculum objectives. Please contact us for more information. Special programs take time, so please contact us early.

All programs are based on the Connecticut State Framework.

Programs are most effective when students are approximately the same age. Groups must have a minimum of 8 students and a maximum of 30. Reservations are required.

Programs for Home Schoolers:

All school programs are available for groups of home schoolers. The Litchfield Historical Society can provide materials to help prepare students for their museum visit, as well as materials to follow the visit. All museum experiences include participatory activities, primary sources, and role-playing. Programs also have the option of a half-hour long hands-on workshop.
