Description:
Pine desk, trestle table form with horizontal stretcher. Plain top, 1/4 section flat with two raised lips, to hold quills and ink stands, the other 3/4 slanted. Top holds many craved initials of various law students, some with dates. This desk would have been used with a long bench, and probably held three students. It was used in Judge Gould's law school building on his property on North Street in Litchfield.
