The Litchfield Historical Society relies on the support of individuals who believe in the value of history and the importance of Litchfield’s stories. Your support at all levels help the LHS fulfill its mission to illuminate the rich and nationally-significant history of Litchfield, enabling each of us to construct meaning from the past for the present and future.
The Annual Fund is the Society’s yearly appeal to members and friends for contributions that help support our day-to-day operations. The Society receives no funding from the Town of Litchfield. We rely on the generosity of our supporters for a large portion of our budget. Your support goes a long way to making our work for your community possible. Because the Annual Fund is "unrestricted," we are able to use your gift where it is most needed.
Your gift to the Annual Fund supports the operations of the Litchfield Historical Society, including our:
• maintenance of our buildings and grounds
• changing exhibits
• monthly lectures and walking tours
• programs for kids and families throughout the year
• care of the archives and artifact collections
• educational programs and field trips
• volunteers and staff
• and so much more!
The Litchfield Historical Society, a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization, is not financially supported by the town of Litchfield. The Society relies on contributions from individuals, foundations, businesses, and corporations to fund our operations and services. No amount is too small. We rely on your contributions to continue our programs, care for our building and collections, and to remain FREE For all. Through your involvement and generosity, you are helping to assure the sustainability of Litchfield Historical Society for future generations. Thank you for your generosity and support!
